Cargavana was founded with a single conviction: that Caribbean importers, institutions, and distributors deserve the same supply chain reliability that larger markets take for granted — consistent sourcing, transparent pricing, and logistics that don’t require constant intervention.
Headquartered in London, we operate at the intersection of global commodity trade and regional Caribbean distribution, coordinating supply from verified producers in Europe, North and South America, and emerging markets.
Our Clients
We serve two groups. On one side: importers, distributors, hotel groups, government institutions, and commercial operators across the Caribbean who need reliable, recurring supply.
On the other: food producers, energy suppliers, and logistics partners who want a professionally managed route to market in the region.
How we operate
Cargavana is not a broker. We take operational responsibility for the supply chain — coordinating sourcing, documentation, shipment planning, compliance screening, and delivery. Every supplier in our network goes through onboarding, KYC checks, and recurring quality reviews. Every shipment is tracked from origin to destination.
Cargavana was built on a straightforward premise: Caribbean buyers should not have to chase their suppliers. Every relationship we build – with producers, freight partners, and regional distributors – is structured around recurring commitment, not one-off transactions.
On the buyer side, that means a single point of contact who knows your market, your documentation requirements, and your delivery window. No handoffs, no surprises mid-shipment.
On the supplier side, that means consistent order volumes, transparent payment terms, and a partner who understands the compliance and export requirements of the markets we serve together.
That two-sided reliability is what keeps both ends of the supply chain working in our favour — and yours.
Caribbean-first operational focus We don’t treat the Caribbean as an afterthought to a larger global operation. Every logistics structure, supplier selection, and documentation process we run is built around the specific import requirements, port conditions, and trade dynamics of the region.
Multi-commodity in a single relationship Food, beverages, and energy products — buyers can consolidate sourcing across categories without managing multiple trade partners. One commercial relationship, one compliance framework, one point of accountability.
Trial shipment as standard New buyers start with a trial shipment as a matter of process — not a special favour. It lets you validate quality, lead times, and communication before committing to recurring volume.
Stable pricing structure We operate on fixed commercial terms. No last-minute price revisions, no surcharges added after confirmation. What is agreed is what is invoiced.
Compliance built in, not bolted on Trading across Caribbean markets involves more than finding the right product at the right price. Every shipment crosses international borders, involves financial transactions between parties in multiple jurisdictions, and is subject to regulatory scrutiny at origin, in transit, and at the port of entry. Getting this wrong — even unintentionally — can delay or block a shipment, expose a buyer to regulatory liability, or result in goods being seized at customs. Cargavana addresses this before a single order is placed, not after a problem arises.
KYC — Know Your Customer Before we engage any new supplier or buyer in our network, we verify who they are. This means confirming legal entity registration, ownership structure, and business legitimacy. It protects our buyers from unknowingly sourcing from fraudulent or unverified producers, and it protects our suppliers from engaging with buyers who cannot be commercially or legally relied upon.
Sanctions screening Certain individuals, companies, and governments are subject to international trade sanctions — We screen all counterparties against current sanctions. It is important to note that sanctions are not blanket prohibitions on all commerce with everyone inside a country’s borders. The Cuba example — Under the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act (TSREEA) and associated OFAC general licences, the export of food products, fuel, and medicine to Cuba is explicitly authorised — provided it involves private-sector entities, not government or state-owned bodies.
Ensure uninterrupted, compliant supply of products from constraints, logistics disruptions, or supplier failures.
Let’s start with a small trial shipment so you can validate our quality, timing, and demand.
We have a stable pricing system, so no last minute price changes. We value a long term commitment
